Grandma Gatewood Overnighter: Beginner Packpacking Event

Join MoonDoggie and fellow Buckeye Trail colleague, Morgan Thomas for a two-day event in honor of Grandma Gatewood. The event will take place on April 26-27th and will introduce participants to backpacking and day hiking in the Edge of Appalachia Preserve System. The first day will consist of setting up camp, 5-mile hike in the preserve and returning to MoonDoggie for dinner and campfire stories. The second day, Grandma Gatewood Day, will include a 5-mile hike on the Buckeye Trail, West Union Section. Dinner, camping, and shuttles for hiking will be provided. Participants are asked to bring their own tent, hiking gear, lunch/snacks, and breakfast. Cost is $125.
